How do I use my Store Credit?

To use your store credit, please log into your account on the Desktop version of the site (www.societyofchic.com), if you are using a mobile device, please go to the bottom of the page and click "Full Site".

Once on the Desktop version, log into your account and choose your items. When you get to the check out page, it will give you an option to use your store credit.

Was I charged twice?

Your account will only be charged once checkout is complete. 

If you just placed your order, what you are seeing on your bank account is an authorization. This is a common bank practice handling credit card transactions to ensure sufficient funds and account authenticity. This authorization will clear (depending on your bank, usually within 48 – 72 hours.) If you need help speeding up the process, you can contact the issuing bank of your credit card.

Please only click the “Place Order” button once to avoid multiple authorizations.
Is this site secure?

Any personal information given to societyofchic.com will be protected. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties. Societyofchic.com server will secure your personal information with up-to-date firewall and encryption techniques during the ordering process.

in order to protect customers to the fullest extent, societyofchic.com does not store your credit card information at any time. Added online security to protect your personal information from unauthorized use is provided by using advanced SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.

What credit cards do you accept?

Societyofchic.com accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. We also use PayPal Express. We do not take personal checks or money orders. CODS are not allowed.

What sales tax do you charge?

We do not charge sales tax as we are not a physcial storefont, we are exclusively online.

Customs & Duties

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The general amount for the duties and taxes fee is 20% of the dollar amount of the merchandise. However, this is just a general guideline and may vary depending on the country to which the order was shipped. You should contact your customs office for specific amounts and percentages.

Society of Chic cannot control and is not responsible for any duties/taxes applied to your package. You will be responsible for paying additional charges for customs clearance. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for further information. Note, in rare occasions custom agents may delay delivery of some packages. Society of Chic is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities and clearance events. 

By law, we must declare all items at their full price and cannot alter this amount to decrease international custom fees.

If you refuse a shipment from Society of Chic  you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees, duties and/or taxes that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Society of Chic. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund. In the instance that the return fee exceeds the amount of the merchandise plus shipping costs, the package will be abandoned and you will not be refunded.

Any additional taxes, fees, tariffs, import fees, and surcharges levied by destination countries are the responsibility of the customer. SOC cannot determine in advance the amount, if any, that will be charged. Please check with customs of your country to ascertain if any additional charges will be applied to your order.

If you refuse to pay customs charges on an incoming shipment, it will be returned to Society of chic. We will then deduct that charge, as well as any additional customs charges, from the refund of the original purchase price.

Please note that Society of Chic may be required to request a copy of a government issued Identification card or Passport for delivery to certain countries (Ie. Saudi Arabia) 

Item Availability?

Although we make every effort to keep sufficient stock of items listed on our site, occasionally we do sell out of certain products and sizes. If we are out of stock on an item you have ordered, we will notify you via e-mail. Any changes will be reflected in your order total as well as your shipping confirmation.

How can I check the status of my order?

You will receive an order confirmation once your order has been successfully transmitted. You can always check the status of your order by signing into my account and then selecting the option order status/history. This screen will let you know if your order has been fulfilled, shipped, or if it is being held. If you are not able to do so, just send an email to our customer care. 

My order is saying 'complete' yet I have not yet received my item:

We do have several in-house procedures that may mark an order as complete prior to shipment. If you notice your order is marked 'complete' and you have not received tracking, please check back in 72 hours as the tracking information will need to download into your order. If the tracking information does not show at that time, you may request an update from our customer care team.


Why was I requested to present a government Identification card or Passport?

1)Due to security reasons on large orders, a government ID may be requested prior to fulfilling the order. This is for your protection and we will not keep this information on file once confirmation is received. 

2) Delivery on some international orders may require a passport for customs purposes. 


How Long does it take for my return/exchange to be processed?

Returns are normally processed within 2-5 business days of being received. If you have not received an email notification after 5 business days, you may email our returns department for an update.


What happens if customs holds my package?

In the event a package is held, seized, fined, or destroyed by local authorities due to any reason outside of Society of Chic's control, Society of Chic holds no responsibility.
